To The Lakes Association of Kazabazua, I want to sincerely apologize for not sending this before the deadline you had requested. I encourage you will take the time to look over my answers and I hope I have addressed your concerns about my candidacy. I am a Kaz local, born and raised. I am a mother of 2 young kids born and raising them here. I want to leave them a beautiful community they can call home forever just like I do. A place they can always come back to. Question 1: protection of lakes and rivers. Our lakes and rivers are a crucial part of our local biodiversity and eco system. We should be monitoring and enforcing regulations efficiently in order to protect the health of our waters. That being said, Yes. I will commit to following these recommendations. Which leads to question 2. Would I be prepared to reccommend to council that financial support be provided to LAK for this second round of studies? I am a strong believer in protecting our waters, I think it's essential for the municipality to invest in resources we need to maintaining, protect and increase the health of the land and water we inhabit. Question 3, Rave Parties. While recognizing the complexity of restricting private property use, my approach would not be to ban the Raves as it is legally problematic as it could lead to other issues requiring us to ban other large private events/gatherings (ex. Large birthday parties, weddings, family reunions). We can adopt specific and enforceable by-laws that target abnormal public nuisance and commercial scale events in residential and environmental zones. By-laws can include: Excessive noise and Late hours. Commercial Scale and Traffic. Public heath and Safety. Environmental Protection. That includes trying to collaborate with other municipalities hosting these events to manage these concerns as well. Question 4. Simple, I do not support mining. I will support LAK's request. Question 5. I believe that Kazabazua deserves a proper, updated boat washing station with clear signage. It is an essential part of protecting our waters.
